Details Itinerary of Lhasa Kailash Tour in May 12

Day 01 - 12 May 2016:- Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m). Pick up you from International airport and transfer to hotel. Kailash trip briefing and final preparation. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02 - 13 May 2016:- Fly to Lhasa (55minutes - 3650m). Overnight at Hotel.  Departure with Air China 12:10 PM from Kathmandu. Arrival at Lhasa on 16:00 Chinese time (Lhasa is 2 hours ahead than Kathmandu) Our guide from Tibet will pick up you and transfer to Hotel in Lhasa. Overnight at Hotel.  

Day 03 - 14 May 2016:- Lhasa Sightseeing. Visit Potala palace, A oldest palace of Dalai Lama, Norbulinka palace, the first Buddhist’s temple of Tibet and Drepung Monastery. Overnight at hotel.  

Day 04 - 15 May 2016:- Shigatse (271km/ 6 Hours – 3800m ) Overnight at Hotel. Drive to Shigatse via Yaluzangbu River, mother River of Tibet. On the way rich scenery here is fabulous ancient cypress trees, green paddle and murmuring River. Reach at Shigatse and transfer to Hotel.

Day 05 - 16 May 2016:- Saga. (450km /8 hours – 4450m) Overnight at Guest House.  Morning visit  to Tashilunpo Monastery, the home of the Panchen Lama, which is essentially a walled town with cobbled and twisting lanes that revolve around a magnificent monastery. Then be driven to Saga via Lhatse and Sang sang, pass several lakes, towns and high plateau nomadic sites on the way of yur driving. Reach at Saga and transfer to Guest House.

Day 06 - 17 May 2016:- Saga to Lake Manasarovar (277 km - 4/5 Hours – 4558m) Overnight at Mud House. Driving to Manasarovar. Late afternoon you can have first view of Holy Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Hore – a small village is situated near Holy Mansarovar Lake. Holy Mansarovar (14950 ft/4558m) – the highest lake of fresh water with turquoise complexion in the world is full of fishes and swans. Holy Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, Lake Rakshash are lying on its surrounding. The region is considered rich for gold and other mines, hot springs and hundreds of wild living creatures.

Day 07 - 18 May 2016:- Kailash 1^st Day Kora Derapuk. ( 47 km Driving, 14 km walking /6 Hours – 5000m) Overnight at Mud House. Morning exploration of Lake Manasarovar. Start driving to the point from where we start walking towards Derapuk. About 40 Kilometer srive is well paved road till Darchen – A base of Mt Kalash and another 7 kilometer rough road till valley of the god. Start walking about 14 kilometers and reach at Derapuk. North face of Mt Kailash.

Day 08 - 19 May 2016:- Kailash Kora 2^nd  Day Juthulpuk (19km – 8/9 Hours) Overnight Mud house. Tough day today from Derapuk to Juthulpuk by crossing Dola Ma pass of 5613 miter. start your walk early in the morning. Almost flat land walking till base of Dolma La. Hard uphill near from pass and reach at Dolma La which is all covered with prayers flags. Then immediately start you walking downhill. Gauri kunda can be seen on the way after dolma La. Reach at Juthulpuk Monastery and overnight at Mud House.

Day 09 – 20 May 2016:- Kailash 3^rd Day kora and reach at Darchen (6km walking and 7 km driving – Overnight at guest House) Morning visit at Juthulpuk Monastery. Start all flat walking about 6 kilometer up to our driving crew. Further drive to Darchen and transfer to hotel.

Day 10 - 21 May 2016:- Morning exploration of Saga Dawa festival in Tarboche valley and drive back to Saga. Overnight at guest house. Morning drive again to Tarboche valley, exploration of Saga dawa festival and drive back to Saga today.  

Day 11 - 22 May 2016:- Drive back to Shigatse

Day 12 - 23 May 2016:- Drive back to Lhasa

Day 13 - 24 May 2016:- Fly back to Kathmandu. Arrive at Kathmandu on 11:10 AM.
